Flood Activity Report

District Sibi is the historical place of Balochistan, the main mountains range is zen, Bhambhore and Dungeon The climatic and topography of Sibi District is quite varied compared to other districts of Balochistan. It is also known as the "Hot spot" of Pakistan where the temperatures in the summer exceed far above normal over 50 °C. The Total population of sibi is 0.26 million (estimated for 2008) and major employments are agriculture and livestock.

Union Council Talli

Union council of Talli is the most populated area of district sibi and biggest village of the Balochsitan province, the total population of the village tali is above 25 thousand peoples.

On Thursday last night July 22, 2010 was very heavy rain on the deferent areas of district sibi and nearest mountains of Kohlu Barkhan’ Thursday early in the morning suddenly highly flood comes in “Darya-e-Talli and destroyed the safety walls of village talli and flood water has been inter in village talli and near villages including village Sultan Kot, killi Saveri Sabrani of union council talli, the villages are totally destroyed especially local crops has been destroyed goats and other animals are to be dead .

Labor Party Balochistan Team Response

Due to heavy rain fall and flood disaster LPP Balochistan Team have taken initial steps and mobilized national and international organizations, government, social and political activists at district and provincial level, LPP Balochistan team has raised appealing voice for help and support to the flood affected peoples of village Talli early in the morning when flood newly interred in some houses of village Talli and sultan Kot, LPP Balochistan team have motivated and raised voices for the help of flood affected people’s of Village Talli and started the work about fund generation in deferent districts of Balochistan and collected food and non food items, especially Labor Party Pakistan have responded immediately and delivered food and non food items.

Initial step LPP Balochistan team has conducted a survey that was supported to distribution the relief items and during the survey LPP Balochistan team has distributed token and then arranged the grand distribution in sibi city due to rain fall and critical situation LPP Balochistan team was not able to distributing condition in respective areas of village Talli.

LPP have distributed food and non food items to 90 people’s including children’s male and female affactees.
